"Artigiani Del Re" or "Craftsmen of the King" was born in Naples a city full of centuries-old workshops, where the Artisans with their own processing techniques have inspired today the desire to give new soul to that ancient tradition that has resided for over 300 years, so much so that it has been boasted among the Courts in the 18th century Bourbon. The Craftsman met the requirements of the Courts to make valuable manufactures from clothing to travel trunks, from upholstery to the cladding of the Royal Palace, and thanks to the prestigious commissions of the King that were called the ” Craftsmen of the King.” The leather was one of the most popular processes, but at the same time among the most complex. The complexity lies above all in the phase of the choice of the leather that finds its realization through the phase of the “Concia”. Crafts are the centerpiece of the 18th century economy and even today, just as the craftsman once was like a sculptor, according to his ingenuity, gives life to his own objects within the Bottega, where creativity and artistic genius have freed expression.
